Sean Whelan is cycling across 3,000 kilometres of desert in the brutal heat of the Australian summer, battling 40+ degree heat and searing UV rays to raise awareness for the Smugglers of Light Foundation. 2015 Music and Media Awards

The winner of the 2015 Indigenous Music & Media Award is Marcus Corowa. Marcus is an emerging singer songwriter from far north Queensland, who draws on his Aboriginal and South Sea Islander heritage to create captivating music with elements of blues, jazz and funk. Congratulations also to our finalists - Jeffrey Zimran (of the Tjintu Desert Band) and Kahl Wallis. Marcus, Kahl & Jeffrey all tendered impressive applications amongst a very strong field of contestants.
